DAYTON, Ohio, Feb. 22, 2018 -- MacAulay-Brown, Inc. (MacB), a leading National Security company delivering advanced engineering services, cybersecurity and product solutions, announced today that it has successfully renewed and updated its Quality Management System (QMS) certification for ISO 9001:2015, an international standard that specifies QMS requirements. Organizations use the third-party International Organization for Standardization certification to demonstrate an ability to consistently provide products and services that meet customer and regulatory requirements. ISO 9001 is the dominant standard recognized worldwide, and the primary requirement to which organizations can certify.
MacB’s recertification audit, performed by American Systems Registrar, LLC (ASR), was conducted over several months in late 2017 and early 2018 across multiple operating organizations and corporate staff. Testifying to outstanding audit results, ASR recognized MacB for handily meeting all the new requirements added to the fifth edition of the ISO 9001 standard, including an emphasis on risk-based thinking, organizational knowledge, and performance management.
“This most recent audit validates MacB’s dedication to creating, establishing, and deploying best practices that exceed mandatory standards outlined by ISO 9001,” said Jim Soos, Senior Vice President of Corporate Strategy and Communications. “The combination of our QMS, along with ISO 20000 IT certification and the Capability Maturity Model Integration (CMMI) comprehensive framework, enables MacB to deliver standards-based services and solutions that our customers have come to expect.”
