In his new role as President, Bennett stated, “I hope to share my passion for world-class hospitality that I have learned thorough my career, but especially from the World of Hyatt.
“I hope that everyone I meet, and not just the wonderful guests at Hyatt Regency Cincinnati, but everywhere I go, I can share the Hyatt’s core purpose which is ‘to care for people so they can be their best.’
In his role as General Manager of Hyatt Regency Cincinnati, Bennett is responsible for all hotel operations and staff. Bennett managed the recent $32 million complete renovation of the Cincinnati’s most iconic luxury hotel. “We just finished the last phase of a complete makeover,” enthused Bennett. “When you visit this beautiful hotel, you’ll be swept off your feet. Hyatt Regency Cincinnati is more modern, very stylish up-to-date in a classic manner, and loaded with the latest technologies. Be sure to look at the new art we’ve hung in the lobby; it’s all about Cincinnati.
“And, we proudly boast the largest hotel ballroom and event space in Cincinnati. You could fit another hotel’s event space inside our event and meeting space! No other luxury hotel in Cincinnati comes close! But we can also stage weddings and small events with the same ease.”
“The incredible staff at Hyatt Regency Cincinnati is one of the best, if not the best, that I’ve ever had the pleasure of working with. Each member of our team goes out of their way to make sure that each guest is satisfied with their accommodations and their service. Hyatt Regency Cincinnati staff treats each guest like they are royalty. After all, Cincinnati is known as the Queen City!”
Born and raised in Ohio, Bennett’s passion for the hospitality business began at the University of Akron. As soon as Bennett received his Hospitality Management degree, he began working in a variety of hotels, gaining invaluable experience coast to coast.
As a 30-year hotel industry veteran, Bennett has proven to be a leader at luxury hotels. Prior to returning to Ohio, Michael was General Manager at the Sheraton Stamford in Stamford, Connecticut. Michael held similar leadership roles at Hilton, Washington, D.C., Embassy Suites in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, Radisson Denver Stapleton in Denver, Colorado, Holiday Inn in Raleigh North Carolina, and Radisson Cleveland Airport in Cleveland, Ohio.
As a life-long fan of Ohio sports teams, Bennett is also a season ticket holder for the Cincinnati Symphony Orchestra. “Though it’s a totally different experience, I enjoy going to a CSO performances and losing myself in their world class music,” said Bennett.
