“Lost in Space” season 2 is coming and fans were assured about this. Many already thought that the sci-fi drama has been canceled by Netlfix already since it has been a year since it was renewed yet it is not on-air yet until now.

Series renewal details

To stop the fans from thinking that “Lost in Space” season 2 has been taken off from the programming line up, the showrunners and writers shared that they are continuously working behind the scenes. Matt Sazama, writer of the show even said that pre-production works actually started even before Netflix renewed the show in May 2018.

“We are working on scripts and hoping that we’re ready to go,” Cinema Blend quoted the writer as saying. “We’ve had a lot of thoughts about it, and hopefully, if everyone watches it, we’ll get to see more adventures of the Robinsons, because we do have some crazy stuff planned out that we really hope we get to film.”

The 2019 NYCC

Spoilers and details about “Lost in Space” season 2 is scarce but according to Forbes, the show will participate at the upcoming New York Comic Con to share updates about the drama. It was said that an exclusive preview clip will also be played during the event which will take place on Oct. 5 at the Javits Convention Center Main Stage.

The cast members who will be attending the NYCC for the “Lost in Space” season 2 panel are still certain but the key characters are expected to show up. This includes Molly Parker, Toby Stephens, Taylor Russell, Mina Sundwall and Maxwell Jenkins and of course, they will be accompanied by the showrunners, Matt Samama and Burk Sharpless, and executive producers.

Rumored air date

Meanwhile, although Netflix has not mentioned any airdate yet for the “Lost in Space” season 2, many speculations suggest a premiere before this year ends. Most recently, The Digital Wise reported that a November release date was actually leaked by Amazon though it was unintentional. The retail site posted a copy of a “Lost in Space” book and it was indicated that it will be arriving on the same day as the season 2 of the drama version.
