SAVAGE, Md., April 09, 2018 -- In the summer of 2017, LTN Global Communications, Inc. (“LTN”), the global leader in broadcast quality IP video transport solutions, was chosen by The Sinclair Broadcast Group to distribute “Kids Click” programming from the Microsoft Azure Cloud.
LTN announced at NAB 2017 the LTN Cloud Access service, which extends the LTN broadcast video network into Amazon AWS and Microsoft Azure public cloud environments without compromising on transport quality, service or features. This was the perfect method to distribute the new “Kids Click” channels to the TV stations and distribution partners around the country who need to air the content.
The Kids Click service has now been in production for over 9 months and reaches over 75 million households. LTN Cloud Access transport service enabled this cost-saving and future looking approach to playout to succeed.
“We had to look beyond traditional transmission methods to make this project possible,” said Del Parks, SVP / CTO, Sinclair Broadcast Group. “LTN’s technology and managed service provided an innovative, reliable solution that we could trust.”
In addition to distribution to the physical TV stations around the country, LTN Cloud Access also transports the Kids Click channel into other public cloud environments for delivery to mobile and streaming receivers by delivering the channel to Sinclair Digital who provides those streaming services in Amazon AWS.
LTN enables multi-cloud and multi-provider access for the same channels to allow broadcasters to use the best platform for everything they need to do. LTN Cloud Access provides direct access to the LTN network through a fully managed service operated by LTN in multiple regions of each cloud provider.
To learn more about LTN and LTN Cloud Access, visit them at The National Association of Broadcasters 2018 convention (NAB), at Renaissance Las Vegas Hotel Suite #1430.
