ST. LOUIS, April 12, 2018 -- LMI Aerospace has received a Boeing Excellence in Advocacy Award for 2017. The Boeing Company issues the award annually to recognize suppliers who have achieved superior performance in outreach activities to help government policymakers better understand aerospace issues and promote legislation that supports aerospace companies. This is LMI’s third consecutive year to receive the award, which Boeing introduced in 2015.
“LMI Aerospace is proud to be part of a coordinated voice for the collective success of the aerospace industry,” said Amy Horton, LMI Aerospace director of Corporate Communications. “In sharing LMI’s story with key stakeholders, our leaders help raise awareness and shape policy significant to our industry’s long-term vitality.
Boeing suppliers are uniquely qualified to speak on behalf of key business issues, which strengthens awareness among community leaders, elected officials and decision-makers.
“With ever-growing global competition, lending our collective voice to advance shared interests is an integral part of our jobs,” said Jenette Ramos, senior vice president, Supply Chain & Operations. “Boeing and suppliers like LMI Aerospace have shown – and will continue to demonstrate – that together, we have the ability to shape aerospace policy, and positively impact the economy, employment and communities.”
The Boeing Company and its supplier network encourage policy awareness in support of the aerospace industry and manufacturing businesses across the United States.
