SAN DIEGO, March 08, 2016 -- Kratos Defense & Security Solutions, Inc. (Nasdaq:KTOS), a leading National Security Solutions provider, announced today that its RT Logic subsidiary has received a new task order valued at $11.2 million for satellite and communication system products, hardware and equipment from an unnamed U.S. government agency. This is the third task order against a $49 million firm fixed price, IDIQ, single contract award to the company announced last year. The first two delivery orders made to Kratos under the contract in 2015 totaled more than $8 million. Due to customer related and other considerations, no additional information will be provided related to this contract award.
"The technologies supplied in these task orders include Kratos’ commercial-off-the shelf (COTS) products, such as Monics® the industry’s leading carrier management system, as well as tailored solutions that support the next-generation of wideband digital SATCOM payloads that are the future of SATCOM," said John Monahan, President of RT Logic. “Kratos is one of the few companies that can supply this mix of best-of-breed commercial solutions alongside the mission-specific requirements of defense applications.”
RT Logic is part of Kratos' Technology & Training Solutions Division (KTTS) which specializes in providing advanced systems, products, solutions and services for satellite and network communications, including satellite command and control, signal monitoring, signal processing, network management, and cybersecurity.
