Hyundai Motor Group and Naver will collaborate in media and platform content, new mobility services, and new business models while building relationships with small and midsized enterprises.
Among the content the two firms would come up with is an infotainment service that would provide access to Naver in Hyundai's vehicles. It includes a search engine, maps, and shopping, the automaker explained.
Hyundai would connect its automobile technology with Naver’s online platform to create a future mobility ecosystem and would diversify the customer experience.
According to Chi Young-Cho, Hyundai Motor Group’s executive vice president for strategy and technology, the merger of automobile and internet and communication technology would provide enhanced transportation services and innovate the customer experience in overall mobility services.
Naver CEO Han Seong-sook noted that they would experiment with new possibilities in the mobility industry with Hyundai Motor Group.
