KFC Expands Menu With New Saucy Chicken Nuggets, Apple Pie Poppers Dessert

KFC upgraded its chicken nuggets with new sauces.

KFC introduced a different kind of chicken nuggets, which were launched with different sauce options. Kentucky Fried Chicken added the new Saucy Nuggets to its menu this week after the huge success of its chicken nuggets, which were first unveiled a year ago.

New Saucy Nuggets and Sauce Selections

KFC announced a finger-lickin' upgrade for its chicken nuggets: They will now be served with special sauces. The restaurant will roll out the Saucy Nuggets and other food items on April 1.

The new menu features KFC's chicken nuggets coated in the brand's original recipe. Depending on the order, these are tossed in the customers' preferred sauce. As per Delish, the choice of flavors are Honey Sriracha, Korean BBQ, and Chicky Sweet 'n Sour Sauce.

"KFC has never been so finger-lickin' good–literally," KFC US' chief marketing officer, Nick Chavez, said in a press release. "We have entered the sauce chat. Our KFC Nuggets – made from 100% white meat chicken and hand-breaded with KFC's secret recipe of 11 herbs and spices – dripping with these sauces create an unmatched flavor experience, with something for every palate."

Returning Items and a New Dessert

The three sauces have been added, but there are five choices for the Saucy Nuggets. The two other options—Nashville Hot and Georgia Gold—are not new but returning favorites.

USA Today reported that KFC will offer the Saucy Nuggets as a 10-piece entrée for $5.99. They can also be purchased as a combo meal with a drink and signature fries for $9.99.

KFC is also launching the new Apple Pie Poppers to give customers another dessert treat to munch on. This apple pie in bite-size is priced at $2.49 for pieces or apple-filled poppers.
