ALAMEDA, Calif., Dec. 14, 2017 -- Jitterbit, the API transformation company, is a proud sponsor of the Band Together 2 Bay Area live music benefit concert. The event, organized by Tipping Point Community, is supported by prominent local organizations such as The San Francisco Giants, Live Nation, Google, and Salesforce and its partners.
Band Together is a crisis response effort conducted by a coalition of San Francisco Bay Area businesses and community leaders to support recovery and rebuilding in the wake of recent fires. The first Band Together Bay Area benefit concert on November 9, 2017, raised $17 million for the Tipping Point Emergency Relief Fund. Proceeds from the Band Together 2 event will benefit organizations including Santa Rosa Community Health, a provider of primary healthcare and health education to underserved individuals and families. The fires affected the organization’s Vista Campus, leaving more than 24,000 without access to care.
Support for Band Together is a part of Jitterbit’s ongoing commitment to giving back through a global initiative called Pledge 1%. As a participant in Pledge 1%, Jitterbit promises to donate 1 percent of its staff time, product, profit, and/or equity to charities.
“Philanthropy is a core tenet of Jitterbit,” said Jitterbit CEO George Gallegos. “Initiatives such as Pledge 1% and opportunities like Band Together that allow us to give back to the community are important parts of our DNA, and we look forward to continuing our philanthropic work for this event and into the future.”
