AUSTIN, Texas, June 20, 2017 -- IntelliClear today announced the selection of the American Refugee Committee (ARC) as the 2017 recipient of its annual Clarity Trust donation. Under the yearly program, IntelliClear contributes 1% of its corporate profits to an outstanding charity as part of an on-going corporate commitment to supporting worldwide communities and charitable activities.
“The Pew Research Center reports there are over 60 million displaced people globally—over half of which are children—who have fled their native homes to escape war, persecution and other life-threatening circumstances, many with nowhere to go and little resources available,” says Eric Shuster, President and CEO of IntelliClear. “The suffering of the world’s refugees is profound and the availability of relocation options is getting smaller, making the need for organizations like the ARC tremendous,” adds Alex Kalamarides, Ph.D., Managing Director and General Partner of IntelliClear.
“At ARC we work on impossible problems, difficult challenges that require a new approach,” says ARC’s President and CEO, Daniel Wordsworth. “But we also believe in the power of everyday people to make the most meaningful change—it’s incredible what people can do when they set their minds to make a difference. That's just what IntelliClear has done here with Clarity Trust; they've seized an opportunity to support the most vulnerable people in the world, and they're empowering us to continue the work we do.”
Past recipients of the IntelliClear Clarity Trust have included the Red Cross, Springs Rescue Mission, Doctors without Borders, Heartgift, Choice Humanitarian, SOS Children’s Villages of Greece, Children’s Aid Society of New York, UNICEF’s Fund for the Children of Syria, Disabled American Veterans and the Global Orphan Project. IntelliClear encourages companies of all sizes to exercise corporate responsibility in making regular charitable donations to worthy causes.
