Hyundai Motor Co. is participating in America’s Advanced Clean Transportation Expo 2022 for the first time, where it will introduce the Xcient fuel cell truck and offer test drives.
The carmaker will also speak at the official ACT Expo conference to highlight the technological and economic strength of hydrogen-fueled commercial vehicles, as well as their potential as an environmentally beneficial mode of transportation.
Hyundai stressed the power of hydrogen energy from the standpoint of the transportation industry at one of the sessions on hydrogen vehicles, focusing on high energy efficiency, easy production, transportation, and storage, as well as a quick charging time.
In the coming years, it is expected that the total cost of ownership of a hydrogen truck will be comparable to that of today's diesel vehicles.
The Xcient hydrogen truck and Xcient hydrogen cargo truck will be on display in both the indoor and outdoor exhibition halls of the Expo.
