Hyatt has opened the Fuji Speedway Hotel in Shizuoka, its first Unbound Collection property in Japan and among several attractions in the new Fuji Motorsports Forest project developed by Toyota.
It is flanked by breathtaking views of Mount Fuji and the Fuji Speedway motor racing circuit, which hosts world-class racing events.
The hotel also serves as home to the Fuji Motor Sports Museum, which displays 40 vintage race automobiles from the latter decades of the 19th century.
The hotel has 120 guest rooms, including 21 suites, all with balconies and views of Mount Fuji or the racetrack at Fuji Speedway.
Five of the villas on the property are dog-friendly and each one has a separate garage with floor-to-ceiling windows on one side so proud owners can admire their cars while living there.
Facilities at the hotel include two restaurants and a bar, a variety of meeting and event spaces, a spa and wellness center with an indoor pool, indoor and outdoor hot spring, and a fitness center which even has a state-of-the-art driving simulator designed for professional race car drivers that is accessible for guests.
According to Tomohide Yamamura, president of Toyota Fudosan, Fuji Speedway Hotel best encapsulates the appeal of the Fuji Motorsports Forest.
