Honda Celebrates 30th Year Anniversary of NSX with New Honda Brio Gift

Honda Brio is among the most celebrated affordable car model. The All-New Honda Brio has attracted masses across the globe. 1990 will always to be a great year for the Honda family.

The launch of the sporty Acura NS-X proved to the world that Honda has the best sports engines. And the red wonder was at that time described as the world’s best sports car ever produced. Even though NS-X was produced to match Ferrari and Porsche in rigidity, tests proved the car felt a little fragile.

Borrowing Honda Jazz first-generation structure, the Acura also featured the F-16 Falcon-inspired coupe built on all-aluminium monocoque. Running on a SOHC V6 engine with titanium connecting rods, NS-X produced 160 horsepower. Its revving redline was marked at 18,000rpm.

The reasons behind giving a new Honda Brio as a free gift are better known to them. As you gamble for this car, what expectation do you have?

Honda Brio Variants in Indonesia

Honda Brio was first launched in Indonesia in 2012. Brio Satya was the first generation. Since then, the demand for Honda Brio has been growing steadily year after year. Honda released its second generation of Brio 2018. The exterior design was more modern with grille and thick chrome giving the car a sportier look from the front.

In 2020, this richly bodied hatchback boats of six variants. Compact and sporty best describes these Brio variants. All the variants carry affordable price tags to the many in Indonesia.

Satya S.

Just like the Daihatsu Ayla 1.2LR MT DLX, this variant carries a 1.2L engine that powers out 90 horsepower and 110Nm of torque. Satya S is a 5-seater hatchback that relies on FWD drive and is the cheapest of them all. Under the bonnet is a 4 Cylinder 1199cc petrol engine with inline 4 valves SOHC.

The engine is paired to a 5-speed manual transmission system

Satya E

The E variant also carries Inline 4 Cylinder 1199cc engine but requires one digit to match the power with its sibling Satya S. Even though they share same body size and transmission system with the S variant, Satya E variant is more equipped. It features Hill Start System and front fog light.

Satya E has a fuel consumption rating is 22.5 kmpl on a smooth highway while in the city its 14.2 kmpl.

Satya E CVT

This variant comes with a higher price tag despite having the same seating capacity, equal fuel consumption rating, same body size and engine performance.

The only slight improvement witnessed is the availability of Active Emergency Braking System, ISOFIX and Lane Departure Warning System. Sadly, Satya E CVT misses the security alert found in the other variants.

Honda Brio RS

RS runs on 15-inch alloy wheels and is available in 7 colours. Its 1199cc 4-cylinder turbocharged engine produces 89 horsepower and 110Nm of torque. The only exceptional feature included is the Brio RS is a Navigation system.

Honda Brio CVT Hospital

CVT Hospital pricing is no better than the other variants when comparing the body dimensions but the pricing suggests otherwise.

The rear spoiler and the projector headlamps seem to be the only missing in the equipment list carried from the previous generations.

2020 Honda Brio Specifications, Features, Price and more

Generally, Honda Brio is a considerable good car in the A-segment with more attractive design. With the introduction of this fun-to-drive affordable small car, Honda proved to be a bit caring.

Honda knows very well the front attracts more than the exterior. In all their models, practicality, interior space and driving space are evidently of a priority than elegant designs.

These hatchbacks rise in popularity and demand isn’t for no reason. The spacious interior and functional cabin are more adorable than before. Looking at the luggage space, and the stylish RS blacktop it dwarfs its rivals.

2020 Honda Brio Exterior Design

For Honda to move as many units, as its best selling cars-the Civic and City, a more dynamic design was clad in the All-New Honda Brio. The front is equipped with halogen headlights and fog lamps. The glossy chrome grille holding the Honda emblem complements the blacktop.

Featured at the rear bumper is a replica of the honeycomb grille design at the front and side sills. Its tailgate holding a stop lamp illuminating the rear not only adds visibility to the rear but gives proper aesthetics.

The rotation of the 15-inch alloy wheels gives a cut above the other subcompact A-segment cars.

Interior

For the interior design, the combination of colours hides the not so good-looking fabric seats a deceptively nice appearance. The orange stitches on the seats overshadow any negative imaginations that may arise.

Seated at the back seats, the legroom is above its standards. The adjustable headrest gives a cosy feeling.

Engine and Transmission

Powering the 2020 Honda Brio is a 1.2L i-VTEC engine that fire 89 horsepower and 110Nm of torque. The combination of affordability and fuel efficiency was an outright win by Honda. At its best performance, the engine offers a respectable performance on the road and in the city.

Not many small cars in the A-segment can compare with the Brios front-wheel-powertrain. This model Pulls by a manual 5-speed transmission system whose speed is electronically limited at 145km/hr.

There is little to smile about when security features are mentioned. But for a low priced hatchback like the Brio, we cannot complain a lot. The only features you’ll get include airbags, Anti-Lock Braking System, automatic door locks and seatbelt reminders.

Conclusion

Hopefully, you'll get Honda Brio if you migrate to Philipines and win. But being as affordable as it is, why not visit Indonesian dealers and get the red-toned sporty hatchback resembling the CS-X. Brios fuel efficiency rating and spacious interior is a testimony this is the best car for an everyday driver.
