IRVING, Texas, May 30, 2017 -- HMS Holdings Corp. (the “Company” or “HMS”) (NASDAQ:HMSY) announced that it received a notification letter, as expected, from the Listing Qualifications Department of the NASDAQ Stock Market (“NASDAQ”) on May 23, 2017 indicating that the Company is not in compliance with NASDAQ Marketplace Rule 5250(c)(1), because it did not timely file its Quarterly Report on Form 10-Q for the period ended March 31, 2017 (the “2017 Q1 Form 10-Q”) with the Securities and Exchange Commission. The Company does not expect this notification to have any immediate effect on the continued listing of the Company’s common stock on the NASDAQ Global Select Market. This notification is in addition to a similar notification letter that the Company received from NASDAQ on March 20, 2017 due to its delay in filing the Company’s Annual Report on Form 10-K for the fiscal year ended December 31, 2016 (the “2016 Form 10-K”). HMS submitted a plan to NASDAQ on May 19, 2017 to regain compliance with NASDAQ rules, which is currently under review.
