GULFPORT, Miss., Feb. 08, 2018 -- A leading global brand known for benchmarking the best in the financial industry, Greenwich Associates has recognized Hancock and Whitney Bank (“Hancock Whitney”), one of America’s strongest, safest banks, with a record 24 regional and national Greenwich Excellence Awards for small business and middle market banking.
The awards for 2017 mark the most Greenwich Excellence Awards Hancock Whitney has earned in a single year and raise the bank’s grand total of Greenwich Award designations to 139—eight Best Brand Awards since 2013 and 131 Excellence Awards since 2005.
“We’re honored and humbled to earn prestigious regional and national recognition again from the highly respected Greenwich Associates organization,” said Hancock Whitney Chief Operating Officer D. Shane Loper. “The Greenwich Excellence Awards are especially important to us because they represent the opinions of businesses we serve. They also spotlight our associates’ steady commitment to century-old core values that guide how we deliver banking expertise and 5-star service to help people achieve their financial goals and dreams.”
Greenwich Associates honored Hancock Whitney seven times as a 2017 national winner for small business banking based on Overall Satisfaction, Branch Satisfaction, Industry Expertise, Likelihood to Recommend, Overall Satisfaction with Relationship Manager, and Cash Management awards for Overall Satisfaction and Customer Service. Regional small business banking awards recognized Hancock Whitney for Overall Satisfaction and Cash Management Overall Satisfaction for the entire South.
The bank received 12 national 2017 middle market banking Greenwich Awards: Overall Satisfaction, Proactively Provides Advice, Industry Expertise, Likelihood to Recommend, Overall Satisfaction with Relationship Manager, and Cash Management awards for Overall Satisfaction, Accuracy of Operations, Customer Service, Overall Digital Experience, Ease of Product Implementation, Online Banking Functionality, and Product Capabilities. Three regional awards for middle marketing banking excellence in the South lauded the bank for Overall Satisfaction, Likelihood to Recommend, and Cash Management-Overall Satisfaction.
“We believe the Greenwich Excellence Awards continue to validate our capabilities as one of the country’s best business partners based on what our clients think,” added Loper.
To select 2017 Excellence Award winners, Greenwich Associates interviewed thousands of executives at companies with revenues of $1 million to $10 million for small business banking and $10 million to $500 million for middle market banking. To qualify for national awards, each winning bank had to have at least 50 clients answer the survey.
Greenwich Associates chose Excellence Award recipients using ratings on a five-point evaluation scale. Selected banks must receive a statistically significant proportion of “Excellent” ratings relative to the overall mean (a 95 percent confidence level). States in the South region in which Hancock Whitney is ranked include Alabama, Arkansas, Delaware, Washington, D.C., Florida, Georgia, Louisiana, Maryland, Mississippi, North Carolina, Oklahoma, South Carolina, Tennessee, Virginia, and West Virginia.
