SAN JUAN, Puerto Rico, Feb. 23, 2018 -- Green Spirit Industries Inc. (OTC Pink:GSRX) (“Green Spirit” or, the “Company”) announced today that Steven W. Farkas has been named to the Company’s Board of Directors, effective immediately.
Assistant Dean and Director of the University of Wyoming College of Business since 2009, Mr. Farkas has been a dynamic and highly innovative senior operations executive throughout a career that, in addition to academia, has played out across various industries. Mr. Farkas has more than 15 years in the retail industry, most recently serving as COO for Corral West Ranchwear, Inc., the industry’s largest specialty western wear company. Mr. Farkas has served as Strategic Advisor and Management Consultant to a long list of corporate clients, specializing in company turnarounds, start-ups, mergers & acquisitions and organic growth strategies.
Mr. Farkas is a member of the State of Wyoming’s Economic Diversity Advisory Committee, appointed by the Governor. In the past, he has served as Chairman of the Visit Cheyenne Board of Directors and a member of the Board of the Cheyenne Chamber of Commerce. Mr. Farkas currently is a member on the State of Wyoming Business Council, the University of Wyoming College of Business Advisory Board, the University of Wyoming Leadership Academy, and the University of Wyoming Institutional Marketing Committee.
Mr. Farkas holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Florida, Gainesville, and a Master of Business Administration from the University of Wyoming, Laramie.
