Google Pixel 3 and Pixel 3 XL are expected to be announced on October 9, because Google has penciled in a hardware event on that date that looks set to unveil its next Android smartphone.
Staying with Pixel tradition, the Google Pixel 3 is expected to arrive in a smaller and larger model, with regular Pixel 3 presumed to come with a 5.5-inch display while the Pixel 3 XL is anticipated to come with a panel over 6-inches.
But ahead of the hardware's grand reveal, both variants appear to have been plagued by a multitude of leaks. Alleged images of both Pixel units have emerged online showcasing the potential design of the new products. The larger Android flagship was shown sporting an all-screen design with a notch.
The claimed Pixel 3 XL phone was also displayed running Android 9 Pie, boasting a single rear camera sensor and a signature Pixel design melding glass with brushed aluminum. The Pixel 3 XL has also been shown charging on a wireless pad, suggesting this highly-requested feature will arrive on the product line when it is announced next week.
And ahead of its October 9 hardware showcase, Google has offered some interesting glimpses into the functionality Pixel 3 will bring to the table, Express UK reported.
Google has set up two teaser web pages that hint at the forthcoming Android smartphone's features. The first simply shows the number "3" and insists news about the product will arrive on October 9. However, Google Japan's site appears to hint at the colors the Pixel 3, and Pixel 3 XL may arrive in.
An outline of the device is seemingly portrayed on the page and changes color if the user clicks on the Google logo present, with white, black and green colors being showcased.
But now Google Japan has released a YouTube video that seems to show functionality from the Pixel 2 will return on the Pixel 3.
The 40-second clip shows some objects and humans being squeezed and the end of the video appears to show an outline of the forthcoming Pixel 3 being pressured to activate certain functions. The Google Pixel 2 introduced a feature dubbed "Active Edge" that allowed the Google Assistant to be summoned by applying force on the sides of the flagship.
Although Google's official tease does not reveal many details about their upcoming devices, Android fans will not have to wait long to see what Google has in store.
