Global Geopolitical Series: Trump administration to reveal ‘deal of the century’ after mid-term
President Trump and his administration with his son-in-law Jared Kushner as the special envoy to solve the decades-old Israeli-Palestinian conflict will be revealing the President’s so-called ‘deal of the century’, which would lead to a peace in the region just after the mid-term.
U.S. mid-term election is on 6th November, Tuesday and President Trump will reportedly unveil the deal by Friday. The details of the deal would first be revealed to the Israelis as Palestinian leaders have maintained the stance that they would not hold a meeting with the United States as it can’t be trusted as an impartial negotiator after President Trump’s recognition of Jerusalem as the capital of Israel. In response to the Palestinian’s leaders’ reaction, President Trump has reduced U.S. aid to the region.
The deal would reportedly go beyond Palestine-Israel peace prospect and aim for greater Middle East stability with forming of an alliance between Israel and Arab countries. The deal also leaves the doorway open for a two-state solution.
