FxWirePro: GBP/AUD eases despite better-than-expected UK GDP growth data

• GBP/AUD pair weakened on Thursday  as  slightly better UK GDP data  failed to provide a strong impetus for   bulls.

• Britain's economy unexpectedly grew in June as companies enjoyed a respite from the energy price surge caused by the Iran war, the start of the men's soccer World Cup and hot weather, official data showed.

•Gross domestic product rose by 0.3% in June, putting Britain on course for the strongest growth among the Group of Seven rich economies in the first half of 2026, after being flat in May. The pound , though, was largely unchanged against the dollar as the data did little to change near-term interest rate expectations..

•Today's UK data did little to alter the policy outlook, with a November hike still seen at 60% and a total of 27 bps of hikes priced in by the December MPC meeting.

• Immediate resistance is located at 1.9148(50%fib), any close above will push the pair towards 1.9241(Higher BB).

• Immediate support is seen at 1.9000 (Psychological level) and break below could take the pair towards 1.8881(38.2%fib).

Recommendation: Good to sell around 1.9110, with stop loss of 1.9150 and target price of 1.9020
