Frito-Lay invested $200 million for adding two manufacturing lines and increasing the warehouse capacity of its Rosenberg site in Texas to be completed by 2023, providing 160 new, full-time jobs.
The new manufacturing lines are for its onion-flavored corn snack brand Funyuns and tortilla chips.
The expansion is on top of a $138 million investment in the same site for a new Cheetos manufacturing line, seasoning and packaging equipment, and warehouse expansion.
Frito Lay, a division of PepsiCo, currently employs over 750 full-time plant and fleet associates in its Rosenberg facility, which produces over 117 million pounds of snacks per year.
The Rosenberg site produces snacks for Texas, Oklahoma, Kansas, Louisiana, and Georgia, and other parts of the country during peak demand.
