French industrial production to weaken in April

The French National of Statistics (INSEE) is expected to report that industrial activity decreased slightly by 0.2% mom (+0.4% yoy) in April. 

Looking at the breakdown, energy output is likely to have dropped by 0.3% mom in April, consistent with the slight contraction recorded in energy consumption over the same period. 

Meanwhile, the manufacturing output should also show a slight decrease, (-0.2% mom) in April.
