'Fire Force' Season 3 Release Date, Cast and Spoilers: Everything Fans Should Know By Now

Here is everything we know so far about the upcoming "Fire Force" Season 3.

Many fans have been anticipating “Fire Force” Season 3 ever since the series’ second installment ended in December 2020. With the original manga by Atsushi Ohkubo coming to a close in 2022, viewers are even more eager to see the ultimate adventures of Company 8 come to life. Here is everything we know thus far regarding “Fire Force” Season 3.

Fire Force’ Season 3 Release Date

The forthcoming “Fire Force” Season 3 was revealed by the show's official Twitter account in May 2022. The series’ Japanese Twitter account then verified that Season 3 was indeed "in production," but no release date was divulged.

Per Digital Spy, the long wait for “Fire Force” Season 3 is due to two major factors: 1) the lengthy production times associated with action-heavy shonen shows, and 2) the series had nearly caught up with the manga back in 2020, so the animation studio likely wanted to wait until there was plenty of material to adapt.

Given both of these factors, fans would be astonished if “Fire Force” Season 3 premieres before spring 2024. Recent rumors say that David Production, which animated the first two seasons, may be replaced by Studio Shaft, complicating release date prediction even more.

Fire Force’ Season 3 Cast

Viewers expect all of their favorite characters from Company 8 to return in “Fire Force” Season 3, as well as their voice actors, per The Direct. To refresh your memory, here is who voices who on the show: Shinra voiced by Gakuto Kajiwara (Japanese) and Derick Snow (English); Captain Obi voiced by Kazuya Nakai (Japanese) and Jeremy Inman (English); Iris voiced by Mao Ichimichi (Japanese) and Alexis Tipton (English); Takehisa voiced by Kenichi Suzumura (Japanese) and Christopher Wehkamp (English); Tamaki voiced by Aoi Yuuki (Japanese) and Jad Saxton (English); Arthur voiced by Yuusuke Kobayashi (Japanese) and Eric Vale (English); Maki voiced by Saeko Kamijou (Japanese) and Sarah Roach (English) and; Joker voiced by Kenjirou Tsuda (Japanese) and Sonny Strait (English).

Fire Force’ Season 3 Spoilers

So far, the anime has faithfully followed Atsushi Ohkubo's manga, so fans can guess what to expect in “Fire Force” Season 3. For starters, viewers expect it to wrap up the Stigma narrative, which was left unresolved at the end of Season 2, and to show the next major showdown between Shinra, the other members of the Fire Force, and the leaders of The White-Clad. The following arc is titled “Obi's Rescue,” without giving too much away.

In this chapter, the heroes of Company 8 fight against their own organizations in order to free Captain Obi from prison. Season 1 and Season 2 covered the first 174 chapters of the manga, which were collected in 20 tankbon volumes, accounting for little under two-thirds of the original manga. The book ended in February 2022 with chapter 304, implying that “Fire Force” Season 3 may be our final set of episodes.
