The third stop of this remarkable road trip celebrating our American roots brings Food, Music & Fun to Hart Crane Park and the Canal Basin
GLENDALE, Calif., Aug. 09, 2016 -- The Feast to the Beat national road trip tour offers a wonderful opportunity to enjoy some of our most treasured National Parks in a whole new way. At each stop the public is invited to enjoy great music and food along with special activations from local and national sponsors including Dole, Lodge Cast Iron, Weber Grills, and more. Each event location highlights the local area’s culture and history, showcasing the best in food, drink, music and arts.
Mark your calendars for our final stop of the Feast to the Beat road tour and join us in Cleveland on Saturday, August 13th from 11am to 5pm as we celebrate the Ohio & Erie Canalway Historic Area.
The festivities center around the country’s only mobile solar-powered state-of-the-art recording studio: Jam in the Van (http://www.jaminthevan.com/) Music lovers will be able to hang out in the Jam Van lounge area and see Wesley Bright & the Honeytones, Marcus Alan Ward, The Lawsuits, Honeybucket and the Shivering Timbers deliver awesome live performances recorded with Jam in the Van!
Food also takes center stage as our celebrity chef, Jamie Gwen, (ww.chefjamie.com) entertains with a variety of food and drink, all with a local, outdoor theme. And we’ll be raffling off a Weber Kettle Grill along with special gift baskets including Lodge cookware, gift certificates and more! We’ll also be joined by the Great Lakes Brewing Co., who will be offering refreshments throughout the course of the day.
Rounding out the day will be specialized activities and interpretive programming from our partners and sponsors include Redline Greenway and Canal Basin Park Tours, public rowing with the Cleveland Rowing Foundation on the river, and a bicycle ride with the Ohio City Bicycle Co-op. We’ll also have skateboard demos at the Crooked River Skatepark and giveaways from Disney Studios as they launch their exciting, adventure-filled newest film, Pete’s Dragon.
With FREE admission and FREE entertainment, Feast to the Beat is a special event for the whole family to enjoy and to have a great time discovering more about America’s great treasures, our National Parks and Historic Districts.
