There have been little to no official details about “Far Cry 6” coming out of Ubisoft, but there are enough rumors and supposed leaks to drown this little tidbit out. Among the most compelling is the possibility of the game doing a “GTA 5” in that it could feature more than one playable character. What’s more, it could be based in multiple locations and might even come with a Battle Royale mode.
The current word in the market suggests that Ubisoft is now in the process of making two games in the “Far Cry” universe, VirtualOracle reports. These will supposedly be “Far Cry 6” and “Far Cry 5.5.” Then again, many assumed that “Far Cry: New Dawn” was “Far Cry 5.5” so this particular rumor might be questionable, at best.
Coming to the matter of there being multiple locations for “Far Cry 6,” however, a compelling argument can be made that fans are now expecting more from the franchise. They will want the game to be bigger, fuller, and more exciting. What could be more exciting than the prospect of having more than one map to work with?
What’s more, “Far Cry 6” could also feature multiple main characters, much like in “GTA 5.” Players could even switch between these characters in real-time, which would add a whole new element to the game. Then there is the matter of a potential Battle Royale added to the game.
Basically, “Far Cry 6” could become a much more exciting game with Ubisoft basically throwing everything that is popular right now at the title right from the get-go. Of course, this would be easier said than done.
The prospect of having all of those features in “Far Cry 6” would take a lot of work; more than what Ubisoft might be willing to put into the game. Then again, it has been doing well in putting in more effort with the most recent “Assassin’s Creed” games. Why wouldn’t it do the same thing for the next “Far Cry?”
