“Focused on developing high performance anti-fog coatings, we added another new level of coating performance to our existing optically clear and highly durable Visgard anti-fog product suite of permanent, water washable anti-fog coatings. The Visgard suite leverages best-in-breed anti-fog coating uniquely designed for the next generation of industry specific and cost-effective applications,” said Richard Chang, Group Vice President for SDC Technologies, Inc. and FSI Coating Technologies, a wholly-owned subsidiary of SDC. “In contrast to our other Visgard products, Visgard Premium combines primer-free adhesion to polycarbonate substrates with single layer mirror coating capability, while maintaining multi-use anti-fog properties. Visgard Premium is suitable for mid-market applications such as safety and disposable eyewear, while our existing Visgard Premium Plus and Visgard Elite products are designed to offer maximum anti-fog protection under extreme use conditions, such as in highly durable military, sports eyewear, and emergency response applications,” added Dr. Sapna Blackburn, Vice President of Technology for SDC Technologies.
VISGARD PREMIUM
Optically clear and REACH compliant, Visgard Premium is compatible with single layer mirror coating treatments, while combining anti-fog performance with excellent abrasion, and chemical resistance. Compatible with LDPE, HDPE, and PP packaging with thickness of 2 mil or greater . Visgard Premium features water sheeting anti-fog properties, and primer-free adhesion to polycarbonate substrates. Visgard Premium is ideally suited to the mass production of safety eyewear, face shields, protective goggles, and masks. Additionally it is suitable for instrument clusters, HUD (heads up displays), head and tail light lamps for automotive and transit applications.
