WALTHAM, Mass., June 14, 2017 -- EyeGate Pharmaceuticals, Inc. (NASDAQ:EYEG) (“EyeGate” or the “Company”), a specialty pharmaceutical company that focuses on developing and commercializing products for treating diseases and disorders of the eye, announced today the completion of its previously announced public offering of 5,336,667 shares of the Company’s common stock, 1,995 shares of Series B Convertible Preferred Stock (convertible into 1,330,000 shares of common stock) and warrants to purchase 6,666,667 shares of common stock for aggregate gross proceeds of $10.0 million.
The offering was priced at $1.50 per share of common stock (or common stock equivalent), with each share of common stock (or common stock equivalent) sold with one five-year warrant to purchase one share of common stock, at an exercise price of $1.50 per share.
The Company intends to use the net proceeds of the offering to support its operations, including for clinical trials, for working capital and for other general corporate purposes, which will include the pursuit of the Company’s other research and development efforts and could also include the acquisition or in-license of other products, product candidates or technologies candidates or technologies.
Rodman & Renshaw, a unit of H.C. Wainwright & Co., acted as exclusive placement agent for the offering.
