Elk Grove Village, IL, Jan. 23, 2018 -- Hearing health and personal audio company Etymotic Research will bring its full line of world class earphones and passive and active earplugs for musicians to the 2018 National Association of Music Merchants (NAMM) Show at the Anaheim Convention Center in Anaheim, CA this week (Jan 25-28). Etymotic’s new ER•3™ high fidelity earphones will be featured. These noise-excluding earphones deliver high fidelity sound reproduction, making them perfect for music lovers and as in-ear stage monitors for musicians, at a more affordable price point than Etymotic's premium ER4 series.

The ER3SE™ Studio Edition and the ER3XR™ Extended Response in-ear earphones meet three design goals: 1) To retain a high level of accuracy in sound reproduction at an affordable price; 2) To offer consumers a choice that aligns with their listening preferences; and 3) To introduce a robust, high quality product that users can enjoy for years to come.
The ER3SE features a more accurate low-frequency response, whereas the ER3XR features a slight bass boost for those who prefer a lift in low-end response. Both provide a high level of sensitivity, making them perfect for use with portable media players. Both models feature precision-machined, anodized metal bodies, a durable, user-replaceable cable, and are priced at $179.
Etymotic will also demonstrate their flagship ER4SR® Studio Reference and ER4XR® Extended Response earphones, which are priced at $349. Both the ER4SR Studio Reference earphones and the ER4XR Extended Response earphones deliver a little more bass without sacrificing overall sound quality, feature precision-machined, anodized metal bodies and have 1-dB match between left and right channels across frequency.
For those wishing to protect their hearing, Etymotic will have inexpensive ER•20 HiFi earplugs as well as their breakthrough Music•PRO® HiFi Electronic Earplugs, which pass quiet sounds unaltered but automatically adjust output levels to protect from loud sounds.
“Etymotic invented noise-isolating, in-ear earphones, giving consumers near-perfect reproduction of the live sound. Over the years, other in-ear earphones have come close, but never equaled, the accuracy of Etymotic designs,” said Etymotic VP of Sales and Marketing Al Arends. “Now, with the arrival of the ER3SE and ER3XR models, consumers can enjoy the quality of sound for which Etymotic is known, at a more affordable price point."
