The Elder Scrolls franchise has had a lot of classics, with many pining for the wonders of Morrowind to be revived using current generation graphics. The wait is over since the Elder Scrolls Online is finally opening the gateway to the homeland of the Dark Elves, where new adventures and the legendary Dunmer hero Vivec are waiting.
The last single-player game in the Elder Scrolls franchise was Skyrim, which came out over five years ago. Since then, fans have been itching for a chance to get back to Tamriel, many of whom are hoping will be in a new country. For now, though, access to Morrowind will have to suffice on the online title of the series.
The upcoming access to Morrowind was announced recently by Bethesda via live stream, PC Gamer reports. The place is in trouble once again and it’s up to the players to save the desolate nation along with the warrior-poet that regular players of the series will likely already know.
For those wondering, the biggest section that players can access in Morrowind will be Vvardenfell, allowing characters to traverse the ancient land for hours on end. Along with the introduction to a new land for players to mess around with, there is also going to be a new class to play as. Called the Warden, it will supposedly be a combination of warrior and druid, Gamespot reports.
Players who become Wardens can use both melee weapons and nature magic, and will even be given a new companion in the form of a war bear. The new content will become available to ESO players on June 6th, but pre-orders are already available. Players who want access to Morrowind as soon as it launches can pay for the content, with the lowest price being $39.99 with the Upgrade Edition.
