Fans of the “Dragon Ball” franchise must definitely consider checking out the “Dragon Ball Legends,” especially because it introduces never-before-seen characters. However, reports have it that some of the best fighters in the title are still the characters that fans have known all these years.

“Dragon Ball Legends” is a mobile fighting game from Bandai Namco Entertainment and was released in May. Before getting into matches, players will have to first form their Z-Power team and, as always, the key is choosing the best fighters from the roster.

Players may tend to rush to pick the all-new characters introduced in “Dragon Ball Legends.” But, according to reports, some of the best fighters in the game are the characters that have been in the franchise all this time.

Of course, topping many lists of the best “Dragon Ball Legends” characters is Super Saiyan Goku. Apart from having one of the best stats on the roster, Super Saiyan Goku’s ultimate attack is a gameplay hard to miss out on. Super Saiyan Goku is reportedly best to pair with Krillin, which leads to a 35 percent bigger damage bonus in every successful match.

After Goku, Vegeta is arguably at the top of the chain in all of the “Dragon Ball” franchise, and the same principle applies to the “Dragon Ball Legends.” Like Goku, Vegeta’s Prince’s Pride attack is worth noting as it is one of best weapons to ward off an opponent’s attack, especially if it is coming from Piccolo.

Meanwhile, “Dragon Ball Legends” have paved the way for the addition of new characters that were created by no less than “Dragon Ball” creator Akira Toriyama. First, there is Shallot, a Saiyan who lived in the past and traveled through time, reaching Goku’s era. Another character “sent by space-time confusion” is Zahha. Lastly, developers included a new fighter who “resembles Shallot” but has a secretive personality and is simply called the Hooded Man.

“Dragon Ball Legends” is available on iOS and Android devices.
