‘Diablo 2: Resurrected’ open beta start times
“Diablo 2: Resurrected” open beta’s start date differs depending on where the players are located. But the difference is only caused by the timezones, and not because it is going live earlier in certain regions.
Players located in the Americas, Europe, and Africa should expect the “Diablo 2: Resurrected” open beta to go live on Friday, Aug. 20. The exact time will be 10 a.m. Pacific Time, 1 p.m. Eastern Time, 2 p.m. Brazil Time, 6 p.m. British Time, 7 p.m. Central European Summer Time, and 8 p.m. Moscow Standard Time.
For “Diablo 2: Resurrected” fans in Asia and Australia, the open beta will start on Saturday, Aug. 21. Players in Taipei and Singapore can start playing at 1 a.m. Central Standard Time / Singapore Time, 2 a.m. in Korea Standard Time, and 3 a.m. in Australian Eastern Standard Time.
Fans looking to join the open beta can now pre-load “Diablo 2: Resurrected” through the Battle.net desktop app, PlayStation Store, and Xbox Live Marketplace. Blizzard confirmed that the open beta would not require Xbox Live or PS Plus.
Those who were able to participate in the early access can have their progress carried over in open beta. However, any progress made during any of the tests will not be transferred to the full version of “Diablo 2: Resurrected.”
‘Diablo 2: Resurrected’ open beta: What to expect
Blizzard confirmed that the “Diablo 2: Resurrected” open beta will feature the “fully remade” Act I and Act II. Players will be able to play the entire act and view their cinematic content.
New classes are also available in the open beta. The Sorceress, the Barbarian, and the Amazon were all available during the alpha test. And for the open beta, they will be joined by the nomadic race, the Druids, and the holy warriors, Paladins. “Diablo 2: Resurrected” is slated to be released on Sept. 23 on PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, and Nintendo Switch.
