‘Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba’ chapter 200: Will manga end after Muzan’s death?

Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba / Facebook

It has been a long battle but it looks like the Demon Slayer Corps will finally see the result of all their efforts and sacrifices in “Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba” chapter 200. The previous manga installment ended with Muzan’s giant baby form starting to disintegrate after it was exposed to sunlight.

Previously, Muzan opted to transform into a giant baby as a last resort. His reason for doing so is to let the extra layers of flesh to act as his shield against the rising sun.

After his transformation, he did his best to extricate himself out of the situation. However, the members of the Demon Slayer Corps obstructed him at every turn.

Even the medic team managed to pin his giant baby form by using a bus. Muzan changed tactics and tried to dig a hole into the ground, probably with the intention to escape the battlefield and the sun by traveling underground.

But the quick-thinking slayers attacked him with everything they got leaving Muzan no opening to implement his plan of escaping underground. Meanwhile, Gyomei Himejima placed a chain around the giant baby’s and securely kept it in place.

“Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba” chapter 200 is expected to continue where the previous one left off. Previously, the giant baby’s body can be seen disintegrating after being directly exposed to sunlight.

There are talks saying that Muzan’s demise might finally happen in “Demon Slayer” chapter 200. After all, the demon has not yet developed immunity to sunlight and, with the baby’s flesh melted away by the sunlight, his real body would then be exposed and melted as well.

If this happens, it could also mean that the “Kimetsu no Yaiba” manga might be coming to an end soon. Previously, there were already reports saying that the manga has already entered its final arc. The demise of the arc’s main villain could mean that the conclusion of the arc is close at hand. But it won't likely happen in “Demon Slayer” chapter 200 yet as the plot still needs to wrap up a few loose ends.

However, Tanjiro’s fate is a bit uncertain. When Muzan transformed, Tanjiro was unable to escape and was buried beneath the baby’s flesh as well. Some say that perhaps Tanjiro might already be partially transformed into a demon because of it.

But there are still a few fans saying that Muzan still has a way to survive the ordeal. “So it is entirely possible Muzan gets into Tanjiro’s body to survive,” Strawhatmanga wrote. “After the baby evaporates we’ll see Tanjiro standing with a brand new arm and face.”

“Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba” chapter 200 will officially arrive on MangaPlus on March 30, 2020.
