KeepKey, a Seattle-based hardware wallet provider, has announced that its Twitter account, as well as email account, has been compromised.
KeepKey Founder and CEO Darin Stanchfield took to Reddit to inform users. He wrote:
“This is Darin from KeepKey. My email tonight was compromised, as well as a few of our accounts with emails that were reset. Our twitter account is not under our control, and we have notified Twitter. We will provide more information as soon as it is available.
All customer funds stored on KeepKey devices are safe!
Update: We still do not have access to the Twitter account, and I'll confirm we have access to via GPG when we do. We also know that this was done by swapping out my phone at the carrier.
Update 2: None of our servers were compromised.”
At the time of writing, the last post by KeepKey on Twitter was made a few hours ago:

Last month, KeepKey added support for Ethereum due to soaring community demand. Earlier in May, it acquired the UK-based software wallet company, MultiBit, in a deal made entirely in bitcoin.
