Coinetize Credits purchases enabled via bitcoin

Hong Kong-based Coinetize, a micropayment service platform that pays in bitcoins and is currently in a private beta, has enabled bitcoin monetization.

With the monetization of digital currency, website visitors would be able to purchase “Coinetize Credits” using either credit card or bitcoin. Coinetize charges 1.8 percent commission on sales made on owner’s website.

According to cryptocoinsnews.com, Coinetize recommends the website visitors to use three bitcoin exchanges: Circle, CoinHako and Xapo. The Coinetize website promises 24 hours e-mail support for their customers.

Gracey who created Virtual Blue to be an umbrella company for several projects that focuses mainly on Coinetize, said, “What’s needed is real creativity and real innovation, not just endless currency trading. With Coinetize we are trying to provide that. Coinetize is an attempt to apply digital currency to the task it is best suited to – small online transactions that are similar to cash payments.”

The Guardian newspaper has a “Coinetized” version in which when a reader clicks on an article in The Guardian, a window pops up asking for 30 credits. This window has an option to sign up to create Coinetize account.

Visitors to the website make micropayments for clicking each link as soon as the Coinetize session starts and the payments are pegged to the dollar. According to the Coinetize website, it allows owners to sell short stories, novels, poetry, home videos, promo videos, corporate videos, tutorials, brochures, catalogues, song lyrics, riddles among others.

Site visitors do not actually need to own bitcoin. Visitors can use their credit card to buy Coinetize Credits and when clicking on links, they spend their Credits, and owners get their Bitcoin. Coinetize account can also be used to sell deliverable goods, provided the goods are of low financial value and the sale needs to be fair and legal.

The company’s future plan focuses on upcoming WordPress install plugin where it aims to simplify setting up WordPress site with Coinetize to just a few clicks – so the WordPress owners can get started monetizing their WordPress content right away.

Founded in 2015, Coinetize facilitates very small payments that happen as soon as a user clicks a link on website owner’s page. Website owners set link prices directly on their webpage. When monetized links are clicked, visitors see a pay stub. A second click pays the fee - which the website owner can receive instantly in bitcoin.
