“Classroom of the Elite” season 2 has long been on hiatus, but still, its viewers have not lost hope that it will still return at any time. As of today, the anime is in hiatus for three years already, but is there really a chance that it will still be back?
The anime’s cancellation and renewal - explained
There is no clear indication that “Classroom of the Elite” season 2 has been canceled. While Lerche Studios, its TV producer, is remaining quiet about its renewal, it does not mean that it has been axed already.
So far, there is no cancellation notice yet so this is a good thing because it increased the chances that a renewal announcement may still be coming. Likewise, with the available facts, “Classroom of the Elite” is leaning more on being renewed instead of being removed from the lineup.
One reason why “Classroom of the Elite” season 2, which is also known as “Youkoso Jitsuryoku Shijō Shugi no Kyōshitsu,” is returning is because of its great performance when it was first released in 2017. Fans not only in Japan but many parts of the world followed its story and this means that it has a lot of viewers and well-received.
Also, “Classroom of the Elite” season 1’s ending is not complete. It obviously has a continuation since the story was left hanging. If Lerche Studios has no plans to have a second season, then they should have ended the anime by tying all the loose ends and leaving with no question from the audience.
TV Season & Spoilers further reported that Lerche can’t simply cancel a very promising anime. It brought in big profits to Leche Studios so surely, the company will not let this chance slip away from their grasp. After all, this is also business.
Lastly, there is a lot of stories available for “Classroom of the Elite” season 2. This is because its manga version was completed in with 14 volumes and to produce the first installment, only three volumes were used. Apparently, 11 more volumes are left to be translated to animation.
Release date
“Classroom of the Elite” season 2 is not in production yet so obviously, it has no release date as of this time. But then, it was predicted to be out before this year ends.
