Blockchain consortium Agentic Group opens office in London

New York-based global blockchain consortium Agentic Group that announced its expansion into Europe with the opening of its Paris office last month, has announced its expansion to the UK with the launch of its office in London.

The group’s expansion to the UK aims to elevate the fintech sector following June’s Brexit vote, said a statement reported by Finextra. The London office will be headed by Lucas Cervigni, serial entrepreneur, and global fintech industry veteran.

“Representation in the UK is key for many reasons. Currently, the fifth largest economy in the world, Britain boasts a strong history of excellence in the financial services sector. Outside of New York City, London has for decades been considered a financial hub where not just multinational financial institutions are located but innovative financial technology startups choose to settle and grow,” Cervigni stated in the announcement.

The Agentic UK will be welcomed by financial services heavyweights during a private event at the Gherkin. Last month, the group announced the opening of its first European office in Paris. Its expansion into Europe followed the deal with the Government of Bermuda that was announced in May.

"Agentic Group is an exciting consortium focused on providing a voice to the regulated industries most interested in exploring blockchain technology. As a founding member, Credits will be providing the framework for a number of initiatives and projects soon to be announced," Eric Benz, COO of Credits, said.

Formed in 2015, the Agentic Group is a membership-driven consortium with over 35 blockchain and digital currency-related companies worldwide. The group provides insight, advice, consultation and development services to corporations, non-profit organizations, and government agencies, as the world seeks to understand and leverage emerging blockchain applications.
