Global blockchain consortium Agentic Group expands to Europe

Agentic Group, a New-York-based global blockchain consortium, has announced its expansion into Europe with the opening of Paris office.

“Agentic France is a timely extension of the movement created by the Agentic Group to support the global blockchain and digital currency ecosystem through the exploration, education and execution of major projects”, Christophe de Courson, Co-Founder and Managing Director of Agentic France, said. “Our mission here is to help France establish a leadership position in these revolutionary technologies and the world-changing opportunities they are creating.”

To establish its presence, the group will host its first Paris event on Monday, June 20, entitled “France, EU and Africa: Payments, Energy and the Internet of Value.” Former French Minister of State and Founder & President of Energy for Africa Jean Louis Borloo will present the opening address at the exclusive event.

The panel discussions will focus on the emerging Internet of Value and its potential for disruption across Europe and Africa. Panelists will include former CEO of Maestro and global ATM network Cirrus Ann Camarillo; CEO of Stratumn Richard Caetano; Founder of BitWage Jonathan Chester; Founder and CEO of Fermat Luis Molina; and many more. The panels will be moderated by Rik Willard Founder and Managing Director of Agentic Group.

“Our representation in Paris is key for many reasons”, Willard added. “We look forward to more cities coming online in the near future across Europe, Africa and Asia. It is our aim to provide insight into these disruptive technologies on a global scale – Paris is just the beginning.” Willard added.

Formed in 2015, the Agentic Group is a membership-driven consortium with 36 blockchain and digital currency-related companies around the world. It provides insight, advice, consultation and development services to corporations, non-profit organizations and government agencies, to help them better understand and leverage emerging blockchain applications.

“The Agentic Group was formed in response to the need for a cohesive voice in the field that addresses not only the financial implications of digital currencies and blockchains, but also the significant ramifications for the rest of the global business community as well as the development of new forms of social benefit in both developed and developing markets,” said Willard.

The expansion of the group to Europe follows the deal with the Government of Bermuda announced last month. Agentic Group will provide training on blockchain and digital currencies and will closely work with the Bermuda Monetary Authority to leverage the benefits blockchain technology offers.
