“Black Clover” Season 2 will start on Oct. 2 and the next arc is set to kick off with episode 51. Originally, the first season was supposed to have 51 episodes only but Studio Pierrot announced it’s going to add several more, Comic Book reported.

Fans of the Shonen series were quite ecstatic at this development but that excitement doubled when the promotional poster for Asta was released. In it, the character can be seen being surrounded by a dark energy, hinting at the mysterious Black Asta transformation. But this is but one of several reasons why fans of the anime are excited for “Black Clover” Season 2.

The preview clip for episode 51, called “Proof of Righteousness,” features the next arc of the shonen series. It reveals a new mission for the Black Bulls, as well as an impending invasion by an unknown outside force. However, “Black Clover” Season 2 does have a few issues it has to address.

One of these is that some viewers are irked by Gakuto Kajiwara, the voice actor behind Asta. The complaints are centered on how Gakuto is constantly screaming at the mic and putting a lot of shrill sounds in how he delivers his lines. While this sort of voice acting is nothing new in the anime genre, Gakuto seems to be overdoing it and is alienating some of the series’s following. “Black Clover” Season 2 should definitely address this, although no official confirmation has been made by the studio just yet.

Whatever the case, the studio is already preparing for “Black Clover” Season 2 and Season 3 as it’s drawing a lot of material from its original source. What fans are worried about, however, is that the anime might heavily diverge from the manga. This concern is due to the fact that Studio Pierrot was the one that handled “Twin Star Exorcists” and that anime deviated from its original material.
