Ben Affleck's recent relapse into alcohol addiction has been particularly trying for him and his co-parent, Jennifer Garner. The “Batman” actor was spotted being taken by Jennifer Garner to a rehabilitation facility in Malibu, California.
Affleck's relapse comes after his recent break up with “Saturday Night Live” producer Lindsay Shookus. Affleck's breakup with Shookus is also rumored to be due to his increasing consumption of alcohol. Affleck was seen with Playboy model Shauna Sexton after his breakup and prior to his eventual breakdown and rescue by former wife Jennifer Garner.
Recently, rumors that the Affleck-Garner family unit has been going through family therapy has been making the rounds in the gossip mills. Claims that Jennifer Garner and Ben Affleck just went through a brutal two-hour confession session where Affleck opened up about supposed affairs with the family's former nanny have been front and center of the rumors.
Gossip Cop has already debunked the family therapy aspect of the rumors, which claimed that Garner and Affleck's children were involved in it. In addition, there has been no public confirmation of the contents of any therapy session involving Ben Affleck, Jennifer Garner, and their family – information which is supposed to be confidential to start with.
Regarding rumors of Ben Affleck's affairs with nanny Christine Ouzounian, Ben Affleck's camp has already released a public statement about the rumor of almost three years ago that Affleck did not have any kind of intimate relationship with the nanny. The rumors back in 2015 were particularly so nasty that Ben Affleck's legal team was considering pursuing legal action due to the public damage that the rumors had created.
Fans of Ben Affleck and Jennifer Garner can only hope that Affleck's third time in rehabilitation will be good for the actor so that both Affleck and Garner can go back to focusing on their children and careers.
