Ben Affleck's alcohol addiction has recently opened up a new chapter for him and the people in his life. Of all the people that the actor can expect help from, Affleck found assistance during his moment of crisis from his former wife, Jennifer Garner.
Jennifer Garner was recently spotted twice in Ben Affleck's Brentwood, California residence. Her second trip involved leaving with the “Batman” actor and dropping him off at a rehabilitation center in Malibu. Photos of the former couple show a very distraught Garner driving with an unidentified woman and a possibly inebriated Affleck in the vehicle's back seat. The group dropped by a Jack-in-the-Box before heading to the rehabilitation center.
Affleck's alcohol addiction has been a long-running battle, starting with Affleck going into rehabilitation back in 2001 with the help of Charlie Sheen. Much more recently, Affleck also posted about his commitment towards sobriety on his official Facebook page about a year ago. Ben Affleck's recent relapse may be connected to significant life changes for the 46-year-old actor.
Ben Affleck ended his relationship with Lindsay Shookus sometime in mid-August. The star has been seen as casually dating after the breakup and was recently spotted with 22-year old Playboy model Shauna Sexton. According to Us magazine, Shookus and Affleck had been dating for more than a year but Affleck's drinking is rumored to be one of the reasons why the couple broke up.
Despite their separation, Garner's assistance in getting Affleck into a rehabilitation center should not come as a surprise considering that both “Daredevil” stars have made promises to do what is best for their children, which includes taking care of each other regardless of their marital state.
Fans of Affleck and Garner can now only hope for the best as Affleck recovers in the rehabilitation center in Malibu, California. Hopefully, the recent episode will not detract from any of the star couple's current projects.
