BTS has a big surprise for their fans around the world! The South Korean boy band is treating the ARMYs to a free concert this weekend and everyone can watch it online.
Big Hit Entertainment announced the free BTS concert streaming last week and it was titled “Bang Bang Con.” The dates of the concert were the original schedule that the group was supposed to hold its concert in Seoul to kick off their world tour this year.
The time and date of the show
The BTS streaming event has been set to be held on April 18 and 19 and based on the announcement, fans can watch on the band’s BANGTAN TV channel on YouTube. It should be noted that the concerts are not live but they are the seven-member group’s best performances from 2014 to 2018.
The BTS concert marathon will begin at 11 a.m. KST on Saturday and the channel will release four shows. The next day, another four performances will be streamed and it will begin at the same time.
As posted on South China Morning Post, the selected concerts for the first day include the “Most Beautiful Moment In Life On Stage” epilogues - 2015 and 2016’s “BTS LIVE Hwa Yang Yeon Hwa On Stage,” 2014’s Red Bullet Live trilogy and 2016’s “3rd Muster.” On the second day, they will feature the 2017’s “Wings Tour live in Seoul,” “Wings Tour: The Final,” 2018’s “4th Muster” and 2018’s “Love Yourself in Seoul” concert.
World tour cancellation
Before the coronavirus infection took over the world, BTS was scheduled to perform in many countries for its “Map of the Soul” tour. It was supposed to kick off this weekend in Seoul, South Korea and they will then fly to the U.S. and Europe but unfortunately due to the COVID-19 pandemic concerts for April and May have been canceled. It is yet to see if the boy band will proceed with their June performances.
The online free concert will be the ARMYs only chance to see BTS on stage again after weeks of hiatus since everyone has to stay home to stop the spread of the coronavirus infection. Currently, BTS is only appearing on the educational show that was launched by Big Hit Entertainment to teach the fans how to speak the Korean language, with RM, Jungkook, V, Jin, Jimin, J-Hope and Suga as the teachers.
