BERNINA’s WeAllSew Blog Recognizes Four My First BERNINA Contest Winners

AURORA, Ill., April 03, 2018 -- BERNINA of America, the premier manufacturer of sewing, embroidery and quilting machines, is pleased to announce that four winners were chosen in the My First BERNINA contest that rolled out earlier this year on the BERNINA blog, WeAllSew (https://weallsew.com) in celebration of BERNINA’s 125^th Golden Anniversary.  The Grand Prize winner, BreeAnna Adamson of Libby, Mont., won a golden BERNINA Reverse Pattern foot #1 Anniversary Edition, which comes in a collector’s BERNINA 125 Anniversary tin.  Carol Smead from Tillamook, Ore., won First Place and received a Tula Pink ergonomic handle 45mm Rotary Cutter.  Second Place went to Leila Horazdovsky from Vadnais Heights, Minn., who won a pair of the Tula Pink Hardware 8” Fabric Shears, while Third Place went to Susan de Veer of Virginia Beach, Va.  Susan won a Tula Pink Hardware 5” curved EZ Snips Thread Snipper. The My First BERNINA contest invited sewists to share their stories about when they first received or purchased their first BERNINA.

“I thought the My First BERNINA Contest was a really creative way to share with other sewists that special BERNINA moment.  However, I have to say remembering back when I got my first BERNINA 530 Swiss Red is sort of bittersweet,” said BreeAnna Adamson, My First BERNINA Contest Grand Prize Winner.  “I was actually working hard at my job to save up for “Bernie;” had the money ready to make the purchase and then came home and found out my boyfriend lost his job.  I was bummed but finally got Bernie and have taken her on the road in our RV.”
