REDWOOD CITY, Calif., March 08, 2018 -- AutoGrid, the leading provider of flexibility management software for the energy industry, today announced the appointment of Nancy Covey as vice president of marketing. In her new role at AutoGrid, Covey will take responsibility for overall marketing strategy and implementation to extend the company’s leadership in flexibility management software for the electric grid.
Covey brings a nearly 20-year energy industry track record to AutoGrid of transforming market strategy, developing new marketing approaches and building teams to drive profitable growth. She joins AutoGrid after leading marketing strategy and planning as executive director and head of global upstream marketing for IHS Markit, Ltd., a London-based global information company serving 80 percent of the worldwide Fortune 500.
“Nancy has built a reputation as a strategic thinker and results-oriented marketing dynamo for global brands,” said Amit Narayan, AutoGrid CEO. “After establishing the category and positioning AutoGrid as the first name in flexibility management software, we’re happy to add Nancy’s talent, experience and intelligence as we solidify our leadership position and speed the world’s transition to a clean, affordable and reliable energy system.”
Prior to her career at IHS Markit, Covey held senior marketing positions at S&P Global Platts, a provider of information, benchmark prices and analytics for the energy and commodities markets. She has worked for multinational firms in London, Washington, D.C. and Denver.
“In an era of increasing global competition and disruption in utility business models, flexibility is the new currency, and AutoGrid helps energy companies balance the grid with flexible capacity from all grid-connected assets,” Covey said. “I’m thrilled to join this brilliant team and look forward to helping empower energy providers to deliver value-added services to customers in worldwide markets.”
