Australia United States Business Week Comes to Nasdaq

SAN FRANCISCO, Feb. 16, 2016 -- As part of Australia United States Business Week (AUSBW) 2016, a high-level conference session will take place at the Nasdaq Entrepreneurial Center February 16, 2016 that will examine innovation strategies for corporations, as well as discuss the future of the tech IPO market. CEO of the Australian Securities Exchange (ASX), Elmer Funke Kupper said today that these sessions will help to further develop the strong relationship that exists between ASX and Nasdaq.

“Australia is one of the world’s top 10 largest and most sophisticated financial markets, and plays a leading role in the Asia Pacific region by serving as a hub for developing tech and fin-tech companies,” said Kupper. “ASX has a longstanding and successful relationship with Nasdaq, which is important to both the exchange and Australia. I am delighted that I can be here today, along with senior Ministers from the Australian Government, to further develop this relationship. I thank Austrade for organizing the Australia United States Business Week.”

“Hosting ASX and senior Ministers from the Australian Government at the Nasdaq Entrepreneurial Center is an honor,” said Bruce Aust, vice chairman of Nasdaq and president of the Nasdaq Entrepreneurial Center. “Our mission and vision for finance, as well as the future of entrepreneurs, are aligned. This is an opportunity for us to highlight some of Silicon Valley’s best and brightest, and discuss the future of tech IPOs.”
