NEWARK, Del., June 07, 2017 -- Artesian Resources Corporation (NASDAQ:ARTNA) a leading provider of water and wastewater services, and related services, on the Delmarva Peninsula, is rallying employees for the 15th consecutive year of participation in the Blood Bank of Delmarva’s Summer Blood Challenge. On June 7th, Artesian employees will be holding one of the two blood drives on-site. Employees will also be recruiting friends and family members in the coming summer months to donate blood at Blood Bank of Delmarva locations throughout the Delmarva Peninsula. Artesian will hold its second on-site blood drive on September 20th.
The Blood Bank of Delmarva provides blood and blood products to 16 hospitals on the Delmarva Peninsula, which benefit from the stable blood supply assured by donations during summer months. The Summer Blood Challenge is a friendly competition held among businesses and organizations in the Delmarva Region to recruit the most blood donors and blood bank members between May 18th and September 23rd. Artesian won first place in the small employer category for four consecutive years, until finishing in second place last year.
