‘Archer’ Season 10 Air Date, Spoilers: Character Details and Everything We Know So Far

“Archer” season 10 is sure to arrive and fans will be surprised by its new theme when the series airs again on television. Followers of the series will still see many outlandish and pretty wild scenarios but it will be in a different setting this time.

FX and the show’s executive producer, Casey Willis, already revealed the title for “Archer” season 10 and it is called “Blast off to: ‘Archer: 1999.'” The announcement was made during the 2018 San Diego Comic-Con in July and they added that the title can be simplified to “Archer in Space.” Based on this moniker, it is easy to guess that the upcoming season is featuring a futuristic setting and it will be somewhere in the outer space.

Filming

In July, co-EP Matt Thompson shared that they had started working on “Archer” season 10 already and the first episode was recorded as well. it has been three months, so the “Archer” team may have gone a long way now since filming the 10th season’s pilot.”

Plot

As mentioned earlier, “Archer” season 10 will move from “Danger Island” to a high-tech world. Commenting on this shift, Thompson told Entertainment Weekly, “We wanted to get out of our last season, which was like really dire and dark and very film noir, and just do silly make ‘em ups on an island.”

He added, “And what we love is the cast, so we wanted to trap them on an island and just have them talk to each other. Next season is similar in the fact that they are all kind of cloistered together, but they’re going to be cloistered together on a spaceship.”

Moreover, the EP said that he is excited for “Archer” season 10 because they are going backward instead of forward -- plus, they are going to outer space.

Cast

Casey Willis disclosed that in “Archer” season 10, Sterling Archer (H. Jon Benjamin) will take on the role as co-captain of the USS Figgis. His ex-wife, Lana Kane (Aisha Tyler), will be his co-captain and fans can expect more bickering as they are a newly divorced couple.

The co-EP further said that Mallory (Jessica Walter) will serve as the Figgis’ AI while Cheryl (Judy Greer) will be an awesome fighter pilot but she hates her job.

Other cast members are Ray (Adam Reed), Pam Poovey (Amber Nash), an alien, and Dr. Algernop Krieger (Lucky Yates).

Air Date

“Archer” Season 10 is predicted to arrive in 2019 and there is a possibility that this will be the show’s final run. In his interview with UPROXX, showrunner Adam Reed said, “I don’t want to overstay our welcome. Season ten has been slowly percolating in my head. Yeah, I think that would be a good stopping point.”
