LAS VEGAS and BOSTON, May 02, 2017 -- American Dream U, a non-profit dedicated to helping military members and their families gain education and access to resources to find a job or grow a business, will be partnering with America’s favorite craft brewer, Samuel Adams, on a #PourOneForward program from May 1-July 5, 2017.
The Pour One Forward program will occur at participating bars and restaurants across the country, and gives their customers a chance to thank military members for their service. Drinkers can purchase a Samuel Adams Boston Lager, and leave it at the bar or restaurant for a current or former military member to enjoy. The “thank you beer” comes in the form of a pint-shaped thank you note that will remain at the bar. When an active-duty or veteran military member enters that bar they can take any available vouchers off the wall and exchange it for their beer (participating bars or restaurants will provide additional information).
Additionally, at over 6,100 retail stores across the country, for every 12-pack of Samuel Adams Boston Lager sold, $.50 will be donated to American Dream U. There will also be a text-to-donate program where drinkers can Text POURONE to 24587 during the May 1-July 5 window to donate to this campaign. Samuel Adams will match the first $10,000 donated.
“American Dream U is focused on career, business and professional development for military members and their spouses,” explains Phil Randazzo, Founder and CEO of American Dream U. “Having the support of Samuel Adams helps us achieve that mission, and ensures that our military men and women receive the opportunities they deserve to pursue their dream careers.”
Samuel Adams' signature philanthropic program is Brewing The American Dream, which provides microloans, coaching, and counseling to small businesses in the food, beverage, and craft brewing industries, so there is a natural connection between how they are helping small businesses and the values of American Dream U.
“Since 2008, through our Brewing the American Dream program, we’ve supported thousands of small business owners and dozens of passionate veterans with microloans and business coaching to help them start and grow their businesses. We look forward to helping more veteran business owners through this program with American Dream U,” said Jennifer Glanville, brewer at Samuel Adams.
Donation up to $150,000 max based on 12pk purchases at participating retailers and $10,000 max on matched text donations.
