CHICAGO, April 20, 2017 -- Allscripts (NASDAQ:MDRX) Professional EHR is the industry’s first solution certified to enable clinicians to meet the requirements of the EHR incentive program as well as the Quality Payment Program. The solution provides all eligible clinicians the relevant workflows and technology they need to meet Meaningful Use 3 (MU3) and Merit-based Incentive Payment System (MIPS) requirements.
Through its partnership with Drummond Group LLC, the newest version of Professional EHR is now certified for Modified Meaningful Use (MU) Stage 2, Meaningful Use Stage 3, Advancing Care Information (ACI) and ACI transition requirements. The certification is reflected on the Office of the National Coordinator for Health Information Technology (ONC-HIT) Certified Health IT Product List (CHPL).
"This marks an important milestone for Certified EHR Technology. Allscripts Professional EHR is the first Health IT product to meet all the qualifications from CMS and ONC that enable providers to meet the strict requirements necessary to participate in the Advancing Care Information program for Medicare and the Meaningful Use Stage 3 program for Medicaid,” said Timothy Bennett, Senior Technical Adviser and Test Proctor for Drummond Group. “I've witnessed the hard work put forth by Allscripts to ensure that its clients are positioned well for the new MACRA/MIPs legislation and improve the Health Certification program for everyone. As an early adopter and industry leader, Allscripts should be commended for bettering the certification landscape for other CEHRT that will soon follow. We at Drummond Group are proud to partner with Allscripts in achieving its certification goals."
Allscripts Professional EHR helps improve clinical, operational and financial outcomes. The solution enables clinicians to streamline administrative and clinical workflows, simplify daily processes, document care quickly, improve patient engagement, education and communication and attain better insights from analytics.
“As a leader in the EHR market, it was important that we partner with the Drummond Group to test and certify ahead of the industry for our clients,” said Senior Vice President and General Manager of Allscripts Ambulatory, Steve Lalonde. “The Drummond Group’s industry leading expertise, professionalism and responsiveness enabled our developers to address all of the ONC’s complex regulatory criteria and become a 2015 certified technology.”
“Drummond Group is delighted to serve as both the Accredited Test Lab (ATL) and the Authorized Certification Body (ACB) for Allscripts in obtaining this substantial milestone. Our personal touch, responsiveness and years of experience with the ONC has firmly established Drummond Group as the preferred ATL/ACB in the healthcare industry,” said Dave Dolan, President of Drummond Group. “We are pleased to issue this certification to Allscripts and acknowledge their foresight and leadership in recognizing the significance this certification represents to its customers and the industry. I’m proud of the Drummond team’s commitment to provide the continuous pre-test support that enabled Allscripts to become one of the first to be fully certified against the 2015 Edition criteria.”
