RAMSEY, N.J., Feb. 8, 2016 -- Konica Minolta Business Solutions, U.S.A., Inc. (Konica Minolta), one of the world's leaders in information management focused on enterprise content, technology optimization and cloud services, announces the debut of All Covered Workspaces, a sophisticated Desktop as a Service (DaaS) solution offered through its IT Services division, All Covered. Because the solution runs centrally from All Covered's secure cloud datacenters, it provides clients with easy access to work desktops, applications and data from any computer or mobile device in any location.
"All Covered Workspaces is a great advantage for employees who find themselves doing more and more work outside of a traditional office environment," said Todd Croteau, president of All Covered, IT Services from Konica Minolta. "It allows them to access their individual work desktop and apps from their laptop, smart phone or any other connected device."
In addition to increasing mobile capabilities, All Covered Workspaces can decrease the amount of money and time a company spends on IT.
"Because our solution allows employees to access their workspaces on a range of different devices, they now have a choice to continue using their corporate computers, a personal device, or a combination of the two," says Croteau.
The solution can easily be scaled up or down to accommodate employment spikes, such as a surge of seasonal employees. Organizations utilizing All Covered Workspaces no longer have to worry about lost data if laptops are stolen or misplaced as the solution includes integrated backup of user data.
All Covered Workspaces functions across all devices – including desktops, laptops, smartphones and tablets – regardless of the device's brand or operating system. The solution supports Microsoft Office and other common applications and includes email, file sharing and security tools. Updates and technical support are included with the service.
How it works
Client data is hosted on secure servers housed in All Covered's state-of-the-art data centers. Each data center is SOC2 certified, meaning that it has met the most stringent industry requirements for security and availability. Individual workspaces can be accessed from these servers at any time and are delivered securely to users anywhere through the Internet. A user needs only to log in to the All Covered Workspaces portal from their connected device to access their personal hosted workspace.
