“Alita: Battle Angel 2” has not been confirmed yet, but it is not entirely difficult to predict what happens next to the cyborg warrior. The first movie’s ending hinted at Alita (Rosa Salazar) fulfilling her wishes of reaching Zalem, and there appears to be nothing that could stop her.

Alita: Battle Angel 2’ plot, cast rumors: Will someone go with Alita to Zalem?

The first movie’s final scene showed Alita winning the Motorball tournament that will grant her enough money to travel to Zalem. It can be said that this is her way of honoring Hugo’s (Keean Johnson) life, and her main motivation for coming to the modern city is to exact revenge against Nova (Edward Norton).

With the money she can win from the Motorball, she will not have to rely on anyone else to fulfill this mission. But will Alita need a companion going to Zalem? This is going to be an interesting aspect to explore in “Alita: Battle Angel 2.”

If Alita ends up traveling to Zalem with someone else, there is one very feasible character to join her. That is no less than Dr. Dyson Ido (Christoph Waltz), Alita’s father figure. Aside from being a trusted ally to Alita, Dr. Ido will also be a useful travel buddy to Zalem, considering that he knows many things about the city that Alita likely is not aware of.

It can be recalled that part of Dr. Ido’s backstory is being exiled from Zalem. He is also the one who told Alita that Vector (Mahershala Ali) has been lying to Hugo about earning his way to Zalem because the only way to do it is by winning Motorball. The first movie also ended with Dr. Ido out of harm, and having him by Alita’s side will help when it comes to keeping Alita’s robot parts in good condition.
