Adidas, Moncler New Collaboration to Issue NFT Collectibles, Launches AI-Generated Campaign

Adidas and Moncler unveils new collab featuring AI Adventurers and digital tokens.

Adidas and Moncler announced their latest collaboration, including a new AI-generated campaign titled "The Art of Explorers." The companies are also set to release non-fungible token (NFT) collectibles under their iconic apparel brands.

The partnership will feature Adidas Originals apparel and Moncler's outerwear in an AI Adventurers campaign created with generative artificial intelligence. The German sportswear manufacturer and the Italian luxury fashion house will release limited edition NFTs and offer immersive digital experiences to their customers.

All About Adidas and Moncler's Campaign

The well-known fashion brands announced their new campaign on Monday, Oct. 2. The items are AI-generated with mixed media sculptures. According to Decrypt, the designs were created after Moncler challenged artists from different fields of expertise to create sculptures of explorers while getting inspiration from the styles in its own outerwear collection.

The campaign that was co-created by Adidas and Moncler is said to exhibit the evolution of Moncler's "Art of Genius" show that was staged in London in February this year. The event was the Milan-based fashion house's team-up with Adidas.

In any case, the sculptures featured in the campaign were creations of Kate Tabor, Gary Card, and Ibby Njoya. These are featured alongside humans (or AI) wearing the clothing pieces from the collaborative collection.

The Moncler x Adidas NFT collection

The Moncler and Adidas' immersive digital experience has been set on a metropolitan streetscape that was previously featured in the "Art of Genius" show. It shows 3D animation, video, and sound, and visitors can unlock exclusive products here, which they can buy through the digital billboards.

The NFT collection will be available on the said immersive platform and Adidas Confirmed app. Customers can buy the digital token for the collaborative Moncler x Adidas Originals NMD boot. The physical copy of the Moncler x Adidas Originals items will be released on Oct. 4 and can be purchased at selected stores on Oct. 5.

"Designed for exploration, Moncler and adidas Originals' new collection pushes the boundaries of co-creation as the two iconic brands find inspiration in the journey from mountainous peaks to the city below," Moncler and Adidas stated in a press release. "The groundbreaking creative exploration extends beyond a physical experience to a digital one with the introduction of a new immersive platform on moncler.com."

They added, "A limited-edition artistic exploration of the Moncler x adidas Originals NMD boot that evolves the silhouette for the digital context has been brought to life as an NFT that can be accessed through the platform and the adidas Confirmed app."
